05
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a form of moving meditation using flowing and gentle movements that help you relax, gain control over movements and emotions, and build stability, flexibility, and strength.
06
Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition counseling is a great way to make the most of your health journey. Learn what foods and supplements are best for your lifestyle, health and fitness goals.
Our Manual Therapies
MAT® & MET
MAT (Muscle Activation Technique) and MET (Muscle Energy Techniques) are both powerful techniques that can help patients regain proper muscle function and reduce pain. While MAT focuses on identifying and correcting muscle imbalances, MET helps to lengthen tight muscles. Both methods are non-invasive and can be very effective when used correctly.
SOMATHERAPY
Somatherapy, developed by French osteopath Guy Voyer, uses gentle yet precise techniques to manipulate the body's soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments, and fascia. By identifying and treating the root cause of issues, such as pain, tension, postural imbalances or mobility problems, Somatherapy aims to optimize the body's function and overall health.
ELDOA
ELDOA stands for "Etirements Longitudinaux avec Decoaptation Osteo-Articulaire," which translates to "Longitudinal Stretching with Osteo-Articular Decoaptation." Yeah, it's a mouthful. This is a type of exercise technique that aims to relieve pain and improve joint function through specific postures and movements that decompress the spine and surrounding joints.
Why Ascend
Ascend Fitness Studio is for people of any age who want to improve their strength, mobility and functional fitness, and be free from pain.
Our clients include children, grandparents, and everyone in between. Many of them come to us after traditional physical therapy has failed to address their pain or weakness in the short term, or their pain recurs as they resume the activities they love.
We use our unique, cross-disciplinary training to determine what is causing their issues and apply manual therapies to treat and refresh joints, fascia and neurovascular systems.
We give our clients the tools they need to stay free from pain and improve their fitness and overall health.
